Denne New Orleans-særudgave af Jazz Remixed i Pumpehuset er i hænderne på dj og multiinstrumentalist Rosa Lux. "Jazz Remixed – The Sound of New Orleans” præsenteres af Copenhagen Jazz Festival i samarbejde med Fringe Jazz Fest, så forvent en one-time-only fest i Pumpehuset med noget både til øjne, øret og dansegulv.
Rosa Lux har udvalgt en række New Orleans-kunstnere som f.eks. Jelly Roll Morton og Mardi Gras Indian-gruppen 79rs Gang, og hun vil denne aften give sit nutidige bud på, hvordan New Orleans lyder anno 2017 tilsat dansable beats, lydlandskaber og akustiske elementer. Med sig på scenen har hun Peter Marott på trompet, sang og elektronik + en række speciel guests vil dukke op i løbet af aftenens to timers sæt.
Rosa Lux er DJ, producer, sanger og multiinstrumentalist fra den elektroniske scene i Danmark. Hun har gennem årene arbejdet med navne som Alberte, Randi Laubek, Solveig Sandnes, tyske Rampue mfl., remixet og optrådt på Det Kgl. Teater, Distortion og CPH Pride. Som dj har hun spillet på alle store klubber i København, en del i udlandet samt til royalt besøg i Moskva, Venedig Biennalen, Berlinalen, Reumert Prisen mv. Hun har tidligere været en del af det kunsteriske festkollektiv DUNST, Smagsdommerne på DR2 og kurator på Strøm Festival. Under eget navn har hun udgivet det anmelderroste album, Monsters, samt et have af remixes af danske og udenlandske kunstnere.
Jazz Remixed er Copenhagen Jazz Festivals tilbagevendende møde mellem vinylklassikere fra jazzhistorien og samplekulturen. Hvert år inviterer festivalen en lille håndfuld af landets bedste vinyl-dj’s og musikformidlere til at dele deres kærlighed til et punkt i jazzhistorien, som har inspireret dem på den ene eller anden måde. Resultatet er hver gang et nyt, originalt sammensat ‘live-set’, som kun kan opleves denne ene aften. Tidligere udgaver af Jazz Remixed er lavet af navne som Raske Penge, Lulu Rouge, Epic Vinyls from Brazil og Simon Dokkedal (Den Sorte Skole).
