Joyner Lucas rammer København og Rust for første gang i august med store singler som I’m Not Racist og I Don’t Die ft. Chris Brown i bagagen!

Joyner Lucas, som er født og opvokset I Worcester, Massachusetts, voksede op i en raceopdelt hustand. Igennem hans unge år fandt han glæden ved at se sin far lave musik. Hans eget talent indenfor musik udviklede sig hurtigt og allerede som 10-årig havde han færdiggjort sit første album. Allerede på det tidspunkt var skolen blevet andenprioritet og den unge Lucas brugte derfor næsten al sin tid på at skrive og spille musik.
Lucas’ seneste plade, 508-507-2209 fra 2017, markerede hans kommercielle debut med hits som I’m Sorry og Ultrasound.
Men i slutningen af 2017 udgav han den kontroversielle videosingle I’m Not Racist, som gik viralt på YouTube med dens behandling af race, samfund og racisme set ud fra hhv. en hvid og sort mands perspektiv.
Singlen giver et meget godt indtryk af Lucas’ stil: Han har noget på hjerte om der, hvor han kommer fra og det samfund, han lever i - og udtrykker det igennem hans gennemførte storytelling og hektiske levering af sine bars.
I 2018 har Joyner Lucas allerede smidt to store singler af sted: Stranger Things og I Don’t Die, begge gæstet af Chris Brown.
Singlerne stammer fra deres kommende samarbejde, collab-albummet Angels and Demons, der udkommer i 2018. Det er derfor en Joyner Lucas’ på hans absolutte peak, der besøger Danmark til august.
