Danmarks ældste Brass Band holder jubilæumskoncert
Den 1. oktober 2017, fejrer Concord Brass Band 60 års jubilæum med et brag af en Jubilæumskoncert.
Festlighederne finder sted i Taastrup Teater & Musikhus, hvor publikum vil komme til at opleve et veloplagt Brass Band, som introducerer fantastiske solister og ikke mindre end 6 dirigenter – René Bjerregaard Nielsen (dir. Prinsens Musikkorps), Susanne Vibæk Svanekier (dir. Slesvigske Musikkorps), Kasper Smedegaard Thaarup (Solobasunist Kgl. Kapel), Dennis Andersen (Orkesterleder Søværnets Tamburkorps), Vidar Nordli (Eikanger-Bjørksvik Musikklag) og dirigenten som ledte Concord Brass Band til den første sejr gennem mange år - Russell Gray (Freelance dirigent, samt Yamaha Artist).
Selve koncertens indhold er bygget op af musik som beskriver nogle af Concord Brass Bands større succeser gennem de sidste 10 år. Heriblandt et genhør med Gilbert Vinters Salute to Youth, som Concord Brass Band vandt Danmarksmesterskaberne for Brass Band med, i 2009. En sejr, der siden skulle føre Concord Brass Band videre ind i et årti med mange flere succesoplevelser. En af de seneste succeser var en 6. plads til Europamesterskaberne for Brass Band – men det er ikke det eneste Concord Brass Band kan fejre.
De 60 års jubilæum betyder nemlig, at Concord Brass Band med stolthed kan bryste sig af, til dato at være det ældste Brass Band i Danmark.
