Den karismatiske sanger, sangskriver og pianist, Judith Owen, kommer til København på en kort visit og giver hos Amagerbro Jazz én af de berømte intimkoncerter. Alene – med hendes fantastiske stemme og klaver – og kun sammen med mesterpercussionisten Pedro Segundo, giver hun eksempler fra sit righoldige repertoire.
Judith Owen rider på en bølge af overvældende succes. Hendes album ”Somebody's Child” blev rost af kritikere verden over og udråbt af Sunday Times som et af de bedste i 2016. På det seneste album ”redisCOVERed” har Judith Owen håndplukket en række covernumre – fra så forskellige kunstnere som Joni Mitchel, Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran og Deep Purple, som hun på scenen blander med klassikere og eget materiale.
Det er over 20 år siden Judith Owen udgav sit første soloalbum, og med over ti udgivelser er den walisisk fødte og nu Los Angeles-bosiddende sangerinde blevet et etableret navn på den internationale musikscene. At hun er helt vild med den intime glassal i Kvarterhuset og det engagerede publikum gør kun Amagerbro Jazz meget stolte af at præsentere denne fantastiske duo.
