at holde jul for fattige og gadens folk.
Vi går gennem kvarteret, ser på forretningslivets udvikling og finder
de mest julede steder i bydelen.
Vi sender en tanke til juleudstillingen i Havemanns Magasin,
de legendariske juletræsfester i Folkets Hus på Enghavevej,
juletræet på Vesterbros Torv og juletræudsalget på Enghave Plads.
Mange kender Jul på Vesterbro fra Anders Matthesens julekalender med Stewart Stardust og alle de andre skæve eksistenser. Det var selvfølgelig overdrevne og humoristiske klicheer, men hvor kom inspirationen fra?
