Julekoncert med Prinsens Musikkorps og Den Jyske Operas Kor
For 14. år i træk indbyder Den Jyske Opera og Prinsens Musikkorps til fælles julekoncerter som afslutning på året, og i år lægger de to professionelle ensembler også vejen forbi Ansgars Kirke i Odense.
Koncertprogrammet rummer især gamle og nye danske og engelske toner for både kor og messingensemble. Traditionen tro vil der også være mulighed for, at publikum kan synge med på julesalmer i selskab med det store operakor og det prægtigt klingende messingensemble.
Koncerten dirigeres af Tecwyn Evans, som er uddannet i New Zealand og USA. Han har dirigeret en lang række forestillinger på bl.a. English Touring Opera, Opera New Zealand, Oper Köln, Oper Graz, Opera North og Chelsea Opera Group og er desuden en efterspurgt koncertdirigent. På Den Jyske Opera dirigerede han i 2016 på Madama Butterfly-turnéen, i 2017 dirigerede han 70 års opera-turnéen og i 2018 La Traviata-turneén. Fra maj 2018 er han ansat som ny musikchef på Den Jyske Opera.
