Kasper Tom / Jacob Anderskov er et nyt projekt, som tager udgangspunkt i Kasper Toms
kompositioner. I løbet af de sidste par år har Kasper Tom slået sit navn fast på den europæiske impro-/advantgarde- scene, ikke mindst som leder af gruppen FUSK med Rudi Mahall, men også som sideman i forskellige ad hoc projekter med musikere som Alexander von
Schlippenbach, Axel Dörner og Johannes Bauer.
Kaspers kompositioner trækker på moderne komposition, men er samtidig gennemsyret af en fremragende sans for melankoli og melodi.
Jacob Anderskov har udgivet tæt på 20 albums som orkesterleder og co-leder siden sin
debut i 2001. Han har modtaget adskillige priser og er blevet hyldet af den internationale
presse som en fremragende stemme i moderne musik. Hans arbejde omfatter alt fra
improviserede værker i små grupper til næsten gennemkomponerede stykker for større
besætninger. Senest har han udgivet de to albums ”Agnostic Revelations” og ”Granular
Alchemy” med musikerne Chris Speed, Michael Formanek og Gerald Cleaver.
This is a very intimate piece of music, humble in a way, somewhat minimalistic, and yet it
contains more music and artistic expression than most other, much more flamboyant
recordings. For me this is one of the most profound pieces of music I´ve had the pleasure
to hear this year. As usual in such occasions, I simply raise my imaginary hat, thanking the
