Kind of ALICE er et rummeligt mødested for jazzen i alle dens afarter, og med alle dens omgivende genrer. Åbn ørerne for alt fra stemningsfuld nordisk jazz til vildt skrattende genrebrydninger. Oplev overlap mellem jazz, eksperimentalscenen og kammermusikken - på svingtur fra det akustiske til det forstærkede og tilbage igen. Kom ind i varmen bag den store pinkfarvede dør i Vanløse, hvor stemningen er lige så hyggelig som baren er åben. Kind of ALICE finder sted på udvalgte tirsdage og søndage.
OBS: Vi tilbyder en mulighed for at købe abonnement på samtlige søndagsmatiné-koncerter, som giver adgang til seks koncerter for fem koncerters pris.

Mød den danske funk- og soulmester fra hans mest jazzy og improviserede side, når Abdullah S gæster Kind of ALICE sammen med sit sjælfulde slæng af gamle bandmedlemmer, som sætter gang i boogiemaskinen og skaber fed søndagsstemning.
Den danske funk- og soul-konge Abdullah S. gæster Kind of ALICE. Abdullah S har i en årrække fungeret som producerende og turnerende musiker for og med navne som Booty Cologne, Dj Vadim, Lulu Rouge, Eagger/Stunn, Jørgen Leth, Kidd, Hess Is More, Track 72, Den Sorte Skole, Marvellous Mosell og mange andre.
Med sit andet album “Handmade Heavyweight Boogie 4 Babies”, der udkom i slutningen af 2018, markerede Abdullah S sig som en af landets mest originale soulkunstnere. Abdullah S’ selvproducerede, håndspillede univers er bygger på musikalske grundstoffer som funk, soul, r&b og jazz med et drys på toppen i form af referencer til no wave, psych og house.
Denne aften viser han sig fra sin mest jazzy og improviserede side sammen med sine ældgamle venner: Super-percussionisten Mads Michelsen og de to fabelagtige Sjelberg-brødre, Stunn Gunn & Bastian Sjelberg!

ALICE is presenting a bold and high quality program of global roots, jazz/improv, electronic music, sonic experiments and much more, shedding light on musical roots and legendary artists as well as exciting new breakthroughs from all over the world.
