DOBBELTKONCERT
Kira Skov har, siden hun debuterede med Kira and The Kindred Spirits, etableret sig som en mangefacetteret sangerinde. Skov er både til jazz og rock og klarer begge dele mesterligt. Den stærke, sjælfulde og intense vokal har fået mange anmeldere op af stolen bl.a. i forbindelse med hendes succesfulde hyldest til Billie Holiday og det seneste udspil i samarbejde med Marie Fisker The Cabin Project og hendes solo udgivelser produceret af stjerne produceren John Parish.
Men inden vi overlader scenen til Kira Skov med band, vil Mute Swimmer & Own Road berige os med både sørgmodige og outrerede kærlighedssange, spillet på akustiske guitarer, og de vil lede os igennem flere forskellige stemninger.
Mute Swimmer og Own Road er et samarbejde mellem kunstneren Guy Dale (Mute Swimmer) og musikeren Simon Skjødt Jensen (Own Road). Genremæssigt bevæger numrene sig mellem alternativt folk og skæv country. Skiftet mellem de to stemmer, der komplimenterer hinanden godt, gør musikken smuk og varieret.
Deres anden udgivelse Old Love udkom i starten af 2018 på det danske pladeselskab Dendron Records. De to ejer scenen mellem ca. 20:15 til 21:00.
Kira Skov udsender ny plade til april og på turnéen rammer hun Gimle.
Kira har skrevet en række personlige sange, efter hun mistede sin mand i februar, og har også på sin rejse gennem sorgens land fundet trøst og inspiration i Den Tibetanske Dødebog samt hos digtere og forfattere som Rainer Maria Rilke, Walt Whitman, Marilynne Robinsson og Naja Marie Aidt.
Sangene tager udgangspunkt i Kira´s personlige tab, men favner samtidig et universelt tema som vedkommer os alle.
Med sig har hun Oliver Hoiness/guitar, Silas Tinglef/Guitar/trommer, Maria Jagt/violin/cello og AC Anders Christensen/kontrabas.
