Den genrefusionerende singer-songwriter Knægt kommer til Pumpehuset 23. april med spritnye sange i bagagen

Knægt trækker på en bred vifte af inspirationskilder lige fra singer/songwriting, melankolsk pop, slacker rock, hiphop, klassisk kor og jazz med en forkærlighed for stærke melodier og en legesyg lyrik, der kredser om temaer som eksistens, tvivl, sorg og kærlighed. Intet er for ordinært eller for spektakulært til Knægts univers.
I 2023 udgav han sit første album ‘Månen Danser Pænest’, der høstede store roser i medier som P6, P4, P3, Jyllandsposten, Fyens Stiftstidende og GAFFA, hvoraf sidstnævnte kvitterede med fem stjerner og ordene:
‘… det er mere end lovende 29 minutter, Malte Nordtorp giver os, og vi kunne sagtens have ønsket en spilletid på det dobbelte, hvis det her er niveauet. En debut, der både stråler kreativt og musikalsk’
Sidenhen har den trompetspillende forsanger givet koncerter rundt i hele landet med sit alsidige band, der navigerer ubesværet rundt mellem ørehængende synthhooks, veloplagte soloer og grungede guitarriffs med Maltes lyse vokal i centrum. Bandet fokuserer på at balancere mellem det alvorlige og afslappede med en stærk sans for at ramme lytteren, hvor det gælder.
Knægt er aktuel igen, når hans 2. plade “Forandring, please!?” udkommer d. 14. marts på Mermaid Records. En plade der summer af natur, nærvær, håb og trangen til at bryde ud af mørket, der kan ramme os alle.
