"Der er tusindvis af gaver i naturen, som kan hjælpe os med vores egen forvandling og udvikling. Det handler blot om at opholde sig derude og at iagttage og lytte," siger Maria Elizabeth.
Teksterne på albummet "Circle the Woods" kredser alle om naturens symbolik og dens mange cirkler. Alle teksterne er på den ene eller anden måde inspireret af naturen og af den amerikanske forfatter og psykolog Ginny Anderson, der har skrevet bogen "Circling San Francisco Bay" og som Maria Elizabeth har vandret med i Californien.
Uanset om vi bor i byen eller på landet, er vi alle omgivet af naturens soundtrack hver eneste dag. Vinden, der suser i trækronerne, fuglene der synger og regnen der risler. Maria Elizabeth vil med Koncertvandringerne gerne være med til at give en ny nærhed med naturen. "Vi ejer ikke naturen. Den er ikke vores. Vi er en del af den. Helt bogstaveligt ned til celleniveau. Vi kan ikke overleve uden den", siger Maria Elizabeth og understreger dermed vigtigheden i at vil alle tager vare på naturen.
Maria Elisabeth har fået støtte fra Statens Kunstfond og i samarbejde med bl.a. Dansk Naturfredningsforening og Vallø Slot.
