Onsdag i Eliaskirken: mening, tro og etik - byder velkommen til foredraget Konge, kirke og adel - Reformationen og eliterne med Dr. phil Grethe Jacobsen. Som altid starter vi med en kort gudstjeneste kl. 14, hvorefter der er kaffe i krypten og foredrag fra 15-16.
Den danske elite i reformationstidens Danmark udgjordes af adelen, der med kongen sad på den økonomiske og politiske magt. Adelen besatte også de ledende stillinger i kirken før reformationen og har traditionelt været set som tilhængere af den katolske kirke – med enkelte undtagelser. Grethe vil i foredraget belyse hvorledes den verdslige og gejstlige adel forholdt sig til reformationen.
Grethe Jacobsen er uddannet historiker og bibliotekar og har en amerikansk doktorgrad fra University of Wisconsin, USA, og en dr.phil. grad fra Odense Universitet (nu Syddansk Universitet). Grethe arbejder i dag som senior konsulent på det kongelige bibliotek.
