Theis Ørntofts romandebut SOLAR er omdrejningspunktet for oplæsning, kritik og samtale til vores tredje kritikersalon.
Salonen kommer til at bestå af oplæsninger og tre bud på læsninger ved salonens faste kritikerpanel Elisabeth Friis og Mikkel Krause Frantzen samt aftenens gæstekritiker Majse Aymo-Boot.
Theis Ørntoft er født i 1984, han er uddannet fra Forfatterskolen og debuterede i 2009 med den stilistisk cool og kåde debut Yeah suiten (som vandt ham anmelderroser og en hel generation af fans). I 2014 fulgte hans ikoniske økokritiske digtsamling Digte 2014, som han modtog Michael Strunge-Prisen for, og som er trykt I 14. oplag.
Nu har Ørntoft skrevet sin første roman. Forlaget Gyldendal beskriver den som “en desperat, dystopisk generationsroman, et hallucineret roadtrip og en rumrejse ind i krybdyrhjernen. Et moderne eventyr gennem jyske skove, københavnske natklubber, Fitness World, uventet kærlighed, dyriske underverdener, vild sex og sollys.“
Så er scenen sat, og det er aftenen kritikerpanel også, det består af:
Elisabeth Friis lektor på litteraturvidenskab ved Lunds Universitet og medlem af bedømmelsesudvalget for Nordisk Råds Litteraturpris.
Mikkel Krause Frantzen anmelder ved Dagbladet Politiken og postdoc ved Aalborg Universitet.
Majse Aymo-Boot er forfatter og redaktør ved forlaget Basilisk.
Kritikersalonen er støttet af Statens Kunstfond og Politiken Fonden.
