Det er nærmest umuligt at overvurdere Kurtis Blows betydning for den verdensomspændende hiphopkultur.
Han voksede op i Harlem og har siden midten af 80’erne boet i The Bronx. Han var den første rapper, der skrev kontrakt med et stort pladeselskab – helt tilbage i 1980 – hvor han udgav den skelsættende single "The Breaks", det første rapnummer nogensinde, som blev certificeret til en guldplade.I løbet af sin imponerende lange karriere har han udgivet 17 LP’er, ageret DJ, producer og skuespiller – og han er ovenikøbet ordineret præst. Han er desuden en del af ledelsen af The Hip Hop Museum i Bronx.
Peter "PTA" Trier Aagaard går i dybden med spørgsmål til legenden i et eksklusivt live-interview, hvor vi kommer tæt på manden, myten, legenden. Det bliver en aften fyldt med røverhistorier og hiphop-historie.
Arrangementet er en del af AmarGetON! 2025, hele Danmarks kulturhistoriske Hiphop festival. Festivalen er støttet af Amager Vest Lokaludvalg, Amager Øst Lokaludvalg, Vanløse lokaludvalg, Musikforeningen 5-Øren og Københavns Kommune.
