Bliv transporteret tilbage til starten af 1800-tallet, når sopran Clara Cecilie Thomsen, mezzosopran Rikke Lender og pianist Ellen Refstrup denne aften spiller nogle af de bedste lieder fra tiden.
Liedergenren – eller den ridderlige minnesang – stammer helt tilbage fra middelalderen, men de fleste forbinder nok lieder med romantikken omkring år 1800. Liederens storhedstid begyndte i slutningen af 1700-tallet og udsprang af inspiration fra den tids vigtigste tyske digtere, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe og Friedrich Schiller.
Som nogle af de største liedkomponister skal nævnes Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms og Franz Schubert, og mon ikke vi får musik af dem at høre denne aften i juni.
