Hvordan lever man, når psyken er syg? Og hvad sker der med et menneske, når det mister sig selv? Denne litteratursalon handler om psykisk sygdom, og tager udgangspunkt i Karen Fastrups autofiktive roman ”Hungerhjerte”. Bogen beskriver, hvordan det opleves at blive betragtet på en ny måde i mødet med psykiatrien. Om at holde fast og finde sig til rette i livet med diagnosen borderline og siden kæmpe sig ud af den. Karen Fastrup taler med ph.d.-studerende, litterat og kulturanalytiker Marie Meier, der forsker i psykisk sygdom som historisk fænomen. Oplev en samtale om psykisk sygdom - fra den personlige erfaring til samfundets syn på psyke og patienter i historisk perspektiv.
Om litteratursalonerne
I marts åbner Medicinsk Museion dørene til litteratursalon. Vi har inviteret forfattere og forskere til samtaler om psykisk sygdom og kvinders plads i medicinhistorien. Med afsæt i bøgernes verden sætter salonerne fokus på krop og videnskab.
Litteratursalonerne er skabt i samarbejde med Det Humanistiske Fakultet.

Hvad er Medicinsk Museion? Et universitetsmuseum, der udforsker og samler på medicinsk historie og kultur.
Hvad gør vi? Gennem fantasifulde og undersøgende udstillinger, events og debatter bygger vi bro mellem den brede offentlighed og den nyeste forskning.
Og hvorfor? Vi ønsker at uddybe forståelsen af sundhed, sygdom, krop & sind, og i sidste ende berige folks liv
