Polsk-angolanske Lua Preta sætter gang i dansefødderne med deres forrygende mix af moderne elektronisk musik og afrikanske genrer som gqom og afrohouse.
I raketfart har den polsk-angolanske duo Lua Preta - aka den angolansk fødte sangerinde og MC Ms Gia og den polske DJ og producer Mentalcut - skabt opmærksomhed omkring sig på især den europæiske afromusikscene. Det er bestemt ikke underligt når man hører deres højenergiske og fængende numre, der som elektriske impulser sætter kroppen i bevægelse og får kinderne til at blusse.
Lua Preta forbinder vellydende elektroniske forløb med afrikanske genrer som kuduro, afrohouse og gqom og skaber hektiske og rytmisk komplekse tracks, som MC Ms Gia konstant spiller op imod når hun skiftevis synger og rapper på modersmålet portugisisk. Ren terapi for dansefødderne!
Siden Lua Preta debuterede i 2016 med singlen “Melhor Vai Embora” (Wildcats Records 002) er det gået stærkt. Duoens anmelderroste EP "Emoções Coloridas" på græske Shango Records og deres nyudgivne single og hidtil største hit, “Quero Mais”, har virkelig fået publikum til at spidse ører. I år begyndte de at turnere i Europa, hvor de foruden en håndfuld shows i Polen bl.a. kan skrive den legendariske tyske Fusion Festival på listen over spillede koncerter. En lang række festivaler og venues har allerede booket duoen til efteråret og får glæde af duoens fængende dansemusik. På ALICE er vi glade for at kunne være med til at præsentere et tidens absolut mest lovende afro-elektroniske navne, når Lua Preta giver koncert til september.

Lua Preta is an Angolan/Polish duo consisting of a vocalist/MC Ms Gia and an experienced Polish DJ and producer Mentalcut. Together they bring a frenetic mixture of modern electronic music and African genres like kuduro, afrohouse, gqom and more. After a successful round of releases Lua Preta started touring Europe this year. They have just played the packed show at the legendary Fusion Festival in Germany and are already booked for more shows and festivals in Germany, Finland, France and UK. Get ready to move your feet when they play at ALICE.
