Den skønne Lysfest på Selsø danner hvert år rammen for åbningen af sæsonen på museet. Det gør den selvfølgelig også i år – denne gang med et Empirebal, som det ville have set ud i starten af 1800-tallet, da Selsøs sidste beboer, Agathe Scheel-Plessen, boede her.
I løbet af aftenen vil du kunne møde herrer og damer i historiske dragter, se dem danse til tidens toner, høre korte foredrag om maden, moden og tiden, spille kort i spisesalen og hygge i kælderkøkkenet med tjenestefolkene.
Igen i år gæster Trio Amerise Selsø til Lysfesten og spiller både stemningsfuld musik fra tiden af blandt andre Mozart og Beethoven – og op til dans.
Trio Amerise er en ung dansk blæsertrio bestående af Lucia Amerise (fagot), Morten Sønderskov Jensen (klarinet) og Ragnhildur Josefsdottir (fløjte). Man kan høre en smagsprøve på www.trioamerise.com. Denne aften erstattes Ragnhildur Josefsdottir på fløjte af Linnéa Villén.
Som gæst til Lysfesten vil det naturligvis glæde os, hvis vores gæster trækker i empiretøjet, men man er selvfølgelig også mere end velkommen til at deltage i moderne tøj.
Bemærk at d. 4. maj i år falder en fredag og Lysfestens åbningstid derfor udvides med en time og varer fra kl. 19.30-22.00.
