Til koncerten vil Musica Ficta opføre madrigaler af italienske komponister fra senrenæssancen som Gesualdo, Monteverdi, Wert og Marenzio. Madrigalerne var forløbere for operaen, som opstod i denne tid. De er små musikdramatiske scener, der ofte skildrer den ulykkelige (og endnu oftere, den meget erotiske) kærlighed.
Madrigalen fik sit gennembrud i Danmark under Christian IV som sendte flere unge musikalske talenter til Italien for at studere musikken. Og da Christian IV i øvrigt stod bag opførelsen af Regensen i starten af 1600-tallet, kommer madrigalerne virkelig til sin ret, her i kollegiets stemningsfulde festsal.
Vokalensemblet Musica Ficta består af nogle af nordens bedste ensemblesangere ledet af komponist og dirigent Bo Holten. For tiden er ensemblet særligt optaget af italienske madrigaler og modtog i 2016 en treårig bevilling fra Beckett-Fonden til yderligere dygtiggørelse inden for netop denne genre.
Bo Holten gør en dyd ud af at introducere musikken for publikum og sætte den ind i sin rette historiske og kulturelle kontekst.
Denne bliver den første af fire koncerter som i år finder sted under titlen ”Kollegiekoncerter med Musica Ficta” støttet af Københavns Kommune og A.P. Møller Fonden. Koncerterne henvender sig særligt til det unge publikum, MEN, alle er velkomne!
