Det er to etablerede navne i dansk musik, der i Villa Veel har verdenspremiere på deres nye samarbejde. Ved Danish Music Awards Folk i slutningen af 2015 blev Mads Westfall nomineret som årets sangskriver, mens ”The Sentimentals”, som de kalder sig, når de optræder på engelsk, blev nomineret i hele to kategorier.
Mads Westfall er tidens bedste bud på en ny, poetisk trubadur med bred gennemslagskraft. Hans tredje solo-album ”Spor” udkom i foråret 2015, og GAFFA kvitterede med 4 stjerner, mens andre anmeldere sammenlignede ham med store nordiske visesangere som Bjørn Eidsvåg og Bjørn Afzelius. Også hans forrige album, som blev produceret af broderen Tue West, fik fine anmeldelser, og Mads har fået masser af airplay i Danmarks Radio.
”De Sentimentale” består af M.C. Hansen, guitar, banjo og vokal, Nikolaj Wolf, kontrabas og vokal og Jacob Chano, trommer og vokal. De har udover deres egne udgivelser specialiseret sig i at akkompagnere sangskrivere fra hele verden, og har turneret og indspillet med en lang række solide, amerikanske navne.
Sammen præsenterer Mads Westfall & De sentimentale alle Mads´ bedste sange, og måske bliver der også verdenspremiere på helt nye numre, der en dag ender på et fælles album. Glæd jer til lækre kor-arrangementer, skarpe grooves, tankevækkende tekster og musikalitet i overflod.
