Amerikanske Marissa Nadlers musik spænder bredt mellem delikat folk, Americana, dyster doom metal, meditativ ambient og frygtløse, eksperimenterende lyde - alt sammen forankret i Nadlers umiskendelige sangstemme og detaljeorienterede guitarspil.
I 2004 udgav Marissa Nadler sit første fuldlængdealbum 'Ballads of Living and Dying'. Albummet cementerede Nadler som en eksperimenterede indiefolk artist, der skriver mørke og intime tekster om ensomhed og hjertesorg.
Det seneste album 'The Path of the Clouds' er Nadlers niende album og et tydeligt lydbillede på hendes udvikling over to årtier – og ikke mindst et godt eksempel på hendes endelige kreative sind. 'For My Crimes' fra 2018 blev af GAFFA kaldt "knugende mørk skønhed", hvilket også meget godt beskriver, hvad vi kan forvente at efterårets koncert på RUST.
