Master Class with Adam Caruso
Canadian architect, Adam Caruso is giving an exclusive Master Class at Bygningskulturens Hus. Since Adam and his partner founded the UK based architecture firm Caruso St John in 1990, they have been working with sitespecific architecture. This year, their proposal for Newport Street Gallery, London received the 1st prize in the british RIBA Stirling Prize.
Through restoration and merging of three Victorian industrial premises they have managed to create an extrodinary gallery for Damien Hirst's private artcollection, which incorporates the geographical and historical context of the site and city.
All their projects engage with the atmosphere of the particular place. This approach, sensitivity and understading of places is why their projects have become internationally recognized.
