Vi er stolte af at kunne præsentere MECC - Mads Egetoft Calcuttan Connection - som spiller koncert på Musikefterskolen i Humble d. 24. marts 2022.
Den indiske musiktradition er en af verdens mest avancerede, musikalske udtryksformer.
I sit krav til udøverne om livslang dedikation, fuldkommen kontrol over deres instrumenter og i sit store fokus på improvisation har den meget tilfældes med Jazz.
Med Debasish Ganguly som musikalsk master vil de tre helt hvide men yderst kompetente musikere, Egetoft, Kimestad og Anders Christensen - kendt som ”AC” - ydmygt og nysgerrigt udfordre den aura af ærefrygt, der er omkring de indiske mestre. Musikken er sit eget universelle sprog, lige meget hvor du kommer fra.
MECC består af:
Debasish Ganguly (indien) – sitar
Mads Egetoft – Saxofon
Erik Kimestad – trompet
Anders Christensen (AC) - kontrabas
Koncerten er åben for alle interesserede. Billetter skal købes på forhånd, og der skal fremvises gyldigt coronapas for alle koncertgæster ved ankomst.
