    Description

Join us for a powerful walking tour through the vibrant neighborhood of Nørrebro and discover the multicultural layers that shape this part of Copenhagen. Guided by Cosimo B., a local cultural mediator with lived migration experience, this 1.5-hour tour offers new perspectives on the city through the eyes of those whose stories are often left untold.

You’ll visit sites such as the DIA Private School, Queen Louise’s Bridge, Blågårds Plads, and Folkets Park—each stop revealing histories of migration, community, resistance, and resilience. This experience connects the personal with the political, linking Copenhagen’s urban landscape to broader stories of global movement and cultural exchange.

    What to Expect:

    • An inclusive tour co-created by migrants and residents
    • Authentic stories of everyday life, community heritage, and social justice
    • A walk through history, diversity, and contemporary culture in Nørrebro

Please arrive up to 10 minutes early. The tour begins promptly at 17:00 and late arrivals may miss key parts of the experience.

At Crossing Borders, we firmly believe that every individual holds a distinctive story that deserves to be heard. This conviction led us to develop Food for Thought as a secure space where individuals can share their life stories, particularly those intertwined with contemporary issues. Following the guest speaker's storytelling session, participants have the opportunity to network and enjoy a delectable vegetarian dinner, skillfully crafted by the international chefs of Send Flere Krydderier , a social entrepreneurship restaurant specializing in Middle Eastern cuisine.

The "Food for Thought" concept originates from the belief that each of us possesses a unique life story worth sharing, one that can impart lessons and inspiration. This idea aligns with the sentiment: “I tell my story, therefore I am.” The phrase "Food for Thought" has been in use since the 1800s, referring to something deserving of profound contemplation.

Today, Food for Thought stands as one of Crossing Borders' flagship initiatives, increasingly indispensable. It serves as a platform for individuals from diverse backgrounds to converge and bond over two universally appealing elements: stories and good food.

Food for Thought is luck every month! So keep an eye out for our future events on our website.
