Mirja Klippel
Med en stor stemme, et inderligt klangunivers og en sans for at skrive sange, der forbinder dybt personlige erfaringer med billeder fra den nordiske natur, har den finske sangskriver og sanger, Mirja Klippel, markeret sig som et særligt talent påden alternative folk-scene.
Allerede hendes debut-EP Lift Your Lion indbragte den danskbaserede musiker en Danish Music Award Folk som Årets Sangskriver. Siden har hun turneret flittigt i både Europa og Nordatlanten, og har udgivet yderligere to albums. Hendes seneste album, Slow Coming Alive, fik tre nominationer påDanish Music Awards Roots i 2021.
Med sin faste medmusiker Alex Jønsson, drager hun publikum ind i et organisk og atmosfærisk univers, hvor personlige erfaringer åbner op for psykologiske dybder, og hvor intime rum går hånd i hånd med rå og vilde landskaber.
Alterne
Den dansk/estisk/belgiske dream folk trio Alterne udvisker bevidst grænserne mellem pop, folk og ambient med moderne dansk sangskrivning. Gruppen består af den danske sangerinde Ida Marie Jessen, den belgiske violinist Oscar Beerten og den estiske akkordeonist Maimu Jõgeda.
Deres debutalbum, udgivet i 2024 via GO’ Danish Folk Music, har fået varm international modtagelse. Eric Van Domburg Scipio fra Heavenmagazine.nl har bl.a. skrevet om albummet: “Jessen’s vocals and songs are world-class, especially when combined with the trio’s beautiful arrangements. 2024 will not produce much more wonderful folk music.”
Med instrumenter som violin, hardanger-fiddle, kantele, accordion, stomp box og sang skaber Alterne et atmosfærisk og drømmende lydlandskab. De har optrådt på festivaler såsom FolkBaltica (DK), Lõikuspidu (EST), Boglárt (HU), Bijloke (BE) og Merode (BE), og har begejstret publikum over hele Europa.
