Ligeti-kvartetten har været banebrydende inden for moderne musik. Den har ry for at være Storbritanniens førende ensemble, og de fire unge musikere udforsker nyt gennem innovativ programlægning, understøttet af nutidens mest spændende komponister og kunstnere. Avantgarde-programmet kombinerer klassiske instrumenter og moderne teknologi, ikke mindst igennem den spanske filminstruktør Beatriz Caravaggios prisbelønnede og anmelderroste filmatisering af Steve Reichs moderne klassiker ”Different Trains”, som under denne koncert får sin danmarkspremiere.
