W.A.Mozarts Requiem for kor, solister og orkester er et af den vestlige musikhistories smukkeste, dramatiske og mest berømte værker. Den latinske messe for de døde, som udgør værkets tekstlige indhold, er sat i musik mange gange, men den mest berømte er og bliver Mozarts. Dette værk kommer til Kalundborg til opførelse i Vor Frue Kirke på netop alle helgens dag - dagen, hvor vi i kirken i dag også mindes vore døde.

Kammerkoret Musica & Orkester under ledelse af dirigent Filipe Carvalheiro.
Kammerkoret Musica har i december 2018 og igen i november 2021 opført Mozarts Requiem med solister fra stjerneensemblet Theatre of Voices og Kammerorkestret Musica dirigeret af Filipe Carvalheiro. I 2022 opfører vi igen Mozarts Requiem, denne gang i Lindevangkirken på Frederiksberg og i Vor Frue Kirke, Kalundborg.
Kammerkoret Musica blev dannet i 1986. Vi har hjemme på Islands Brygge i København og består af ca. 28 sangere mellem 25 og 60 år. Musica dirigeres af Filipe Carvalheiro. Korets repertoire er primært klassisk a cappella-musik for 4-8 stemmer.
Musica deltager ofte i internationale korkonkurrencer og har vundet flere priser for bl.a. bedste kammerkor, bedste program og bedste dirigent. Sidst vandt vi i 2018 kategorien “Blandet kor” i konkurrencen Isola del Sole i Grado, Italien.
