    Description

    In English:

To simply call the duo of kora player Dawda Jobarteh and drummer Stefan Pasborg a meeting of West African roots and contemporary jazz, wouldn’t really do justice to the incredible playfulness and joyful exploration you become witness to, when you hear a concert with the two great musicians.

Together they create a melting-pot of styles mixed together into an output based on their  mutual love for strong rhythmical shapes, beautiful melodies and the pure energy in music.   Each of them brings compositions from their past and present, and the result is powerful.

Both musicians are well known faces on the Danish music scene where they have played in several contexts. As a duo they released an album in 2016 on ILK Records and since then, they have performed on a lot of stages, in Denmark as well as internationally. It’s always a blast to witness their incredible musical dialogue on stage, and ALICE is delighted to present them for a night at Musikhuset København.
