Traditionel serbisk vokal møder minimalisme og eksperimenterede elektronik. Tag på en helt særlig rejse med trioen Gordan (Svetlana Spajic, Andi Stecher, Guido Möbius), når de gæster Musikhuset København til december.
Gordan er et spritnyt samarbejde med den anerkendte serbiske sangerinde Svetlana Spajic overfor Andi Stecher og Guido Möbius, som desuden er aktive i drum’n’feedback duoen GAMS, der udgav deres debut på tyske Karl Records 2019. I Gordan udforsker Spajic, Stecher og Möbius styrker og følsomheder mellem deres respektive musikalske områder, som i en konstant dialog mellem lyd og støj bringer traditionel balkansang i spil med rastløse beats, fyldige feedback-eksperimenter og kølig minimalisme.
Svetlana Spajic er internationalt kendt for sin sjældne evne til at mestre alle de komplekse lokale stilvarianter af sang indenfor balkanmusik. Guido skaber feedback med bas, elektroniske lydgeneratorer og effekter, som han i skiftende modspil og harmoni med Spajics sang forvrænger eller forstærker gennem guitar-amps og mikrofoner. Den støjende og dynamiske krop af lyd både drives frem og fragmenteres af Andi Stechers nuancerede tromme- og percussionspil.
Gordan skaber med andre ord en lyd, som sjældent før er hørt. Hør selv på deres fremragende fælles album på Berlin-baserede Morphine Records: “Down in the Meadow”. Og ikke mindst - oplev dem live i Musikhuset København.

Gordan join traditional Serbian singing with abstraction, energy and minimalism. Their music is marked by radical reduction, seemingly endless ascension and a passion for experiments.
The Serbian singer Svetlana Spajić is an internationally recognized and acclaimed artist. She, like almost no other contemporary singer, is a master of all the complex local stylistic variations of singing from Balkan music. Guido Möbius plays bass and various electronic sound generators. Additionally he uses guitar amps, microphones and effects to provoke feedback which either harmonize or are juxtaposed with the song. It is a dialogue between sound and noise which is accentuated or fragmented by means of Andi Stecher’s expressive drumming. With a rich pool of ideas the percussionist drives the sound forward breathlessly and grounds it.
A unique trio as can be witnessed on their stellar debut on Morphine Records. And definitely a group you should check out, when they perform in Copenhagen.
