Komponist Niels Lyhne Løkkegaards projekt SOUND x SOUND er en grundforskning i 'sonisk geologi'. Oplev en sanselig kortfilmsdokumentar, hvor Løkkegaard dirigerer en række større ensembler, hvor alle i princippet kan være med - så længe de spiller det samme på samme tid! Efter filmen vil Løkkegaard opføre 'Triangular Mass', en krystallisk messe for triangler. Messen fremføres af biografens publikum, så du er med andre ord selv inviteret med, når sproget opløses og ordet mister dets betydning. 'Da står lyden tilbage - ren, fri og åben for alle ører,' som Løkkegaard selv formulerer det.
