Denne tur ser på Nyhavn med solsider og baggårde og hører både skrøner og sande historier om et unikt kvarter. Nyhavn er både kanalen med de kendte restauranter, sidegader og baggårde, og den pæne side, med Charlottenborg.
Kvarteret har haft op- og nedture, fra kanalen blev udgravet i 1673. Her boede rige handelsfolk med egne skibe, der drev handel på de store have. Æbleskuder og færøbåde har lagt til kaj, og der er blevet solgt billetter til Titanic og andre luksuslinere, og missionærer har hevet forliste sjæle ind til kaffe og salmesang i Bethelskibet.Historiker Jørn Benderfeldt færdes husvant i kvarteret dets mange historier kendte og sømandskæbner, sortbørs og andre eskapader.
Nu går våren gennem Nyhavn fra Shanghai og til Kahyt,
Nu har solens gule unger i hver skimlet regnvejrspyt.
Alle havnens søde piger drikker forårsguden til.
Vi har øl i stride strømme, vi har sang og banjospil.
