As geopolitical tensions rise and world leaders prepare for conflict, the Peace Day Youth Assembly proposes a different approach to addressing global challenges.
Our focus is on bridging inner development with outer impact. Starting from a place of inner peace, we aim to move beyond today’s dystopian paradigms towards a future where technology enables people to live in harmony with nature.

    Date: September 21-22, 2024

Location: Youth Island, Middelgrundsfortet, Copenhagen, DenmarkIn preparation for the UN’s historical Summit of the Future we invite youth, elders, change-makers, and creative frontrunners to join us on Youth Island to explore our ancient history, discuss the present state of the world, and envision the future we want.

Over 2 days we will transform the island into a space for creativity, community activities, and self-expression.Bring your contributions—whether it’s a workshop, art piece, performance, or community experience. Reach out with your proposals!Everyone is welcome—regardless of age, gender, race, or cultural background. Together, we can create a new reality through actions that open the heart.

    EVENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Meet the Peaceday Youth Assembly: visit the Peace-room where UN Youth delegates and youth leaders from different organizations are busy preparing a declaration with 10 recommendations to the world leaders.

~ Join the discussion: What would a Good Future look like, and what can we do right here and now to bring it about? Engage in thought-provoking discussions and collaborative sessions focused on envisioning and creating a better world.

~ Island Crawl: Explore the historic sea fortress as it comes alive with vibrant creativity—immerse yourself in dynamic community-building activities and diverse avenues of self-expression.

~Bonfire Ceremony: When the sun sets on the 21st of September, we’ll light a bonfire in a demolished gun position overlooking the sea. As dusk falls, indigenous elders from the North will share their stories and concerns for our shared future, offering wisdom to address the geopolitical conflicts and environmental issues we face today.

~Unite4Peace: After the bonfire ceremony, we will organize a livestream from the Island, connecting with like-minded groups across the planet to share our collective vision for peace.

~Festive Party: The evening will culminate in a festive party with music and dance, featuring ancient songs and contemporary performances by diverse artists. Highlights will be shared globally via livestream, connecting with similar events across continents.
