Pop-up restaurant: Klimavenlig mad på toppen af Lyngby rådhus, styret af bestseller kogebogsforfatter indenfor det grønne køkken, Kirsten Skaarup. Der er 100 pladser i restauranten, som kan bestilles her. Der vil være en pris for en klimavenlig ret inklusiv drikkevarer, men dørene er åbne og udsigten gratis.
Kirsten Skaarup har beskæftiget sig med grøn og bæredygtig mad det meste af sit liv. Hertil kommer et liv fuldt af bøger og rejser. Hovedærindet for Kirsten Skaarup er at udvikle grønne opskrifter på lækker, smuk og velsmagende mad, der ikke belaster krop og klode – og ikke mindst arbejder hun for dyrevelfærd. Klima, økologi og dyrevelfærd står øverst på Kirsten Skaarups agenda. I 2008 udsendte hun Danmarks første klimakogebog: “det kærlige køkken – grøn mad til en sårbar planet.
Det er blevet til udgivelsen af mere end 30 kogebøger i årenes løb med best-selleren “Vegtarisk køkken” som den mest populære med over 120.000 solgte eksemplarer. Den er også udkommet i USA og Tyskland. En succes der gav hende tilnavnet: “den grønne frk. Jensen”.
Inspiration, viden, grøn innovation og klimaaktivister
Den 2. juni fra 10 – 16, bliver torvet foran rådhuset i Lyngby omdannet til et mekka for alle med klimainteresse og grøn nysgerrighed. Her afholdes byens første bæredygtighedsfestival nemlig. Hør foredrag med de mest passionerede klimaaktivister, smag på klimavenlige retter og find ud af hvordan det egentlig forholder sig med de der el-biler.
