Suzuki Training | Grotowski | Thursday Group practice Variations
Tessa Marie Luminati, Diego Fajardo and Matthew Crosby of The Thursday Group facilitate a theatre Intensive at CISPA.
The intensive explores the synthesis of actor training that the group has developed over fifteen years. Founded on the Suzuki Method of Actor Training, Grotowski impulse, co-devising and Thursday Group variations, in this workshop, participants will explore
Suzuki Training: some basic exercises
Grotowski: connecting with the Suzuki vocabulary… impulse work and spatial scoring
Thursday Group variations and scores: Touch, Press and Gravity.
Matthew Crosby is a founding member of Thursday Group with a lifetime experience as actor, writer and director, including extensive international work especially in Japan. Tessa Marie Luminati is co-facilitator of The Thursday Group. She recently returned from an intensive at Suzuki's base in Toga, Japan and has been developing image-based work in concert with Suzuki and Thursday Group Training. Diego Fajardo joined the group from Columbia one year ago. He has a wealth of experience and study in Grotowski, Barba, Boal and other forms. Together these three artists from The Thursday Group are looking forward to sharing some of their practice with Danish theatre artists.
Be ready for high energy ensemble training and exploration dealing with ideas of focus, momentum, stillness, stability and interrelationality.
