I denne udgave af Kulturtårnets radiobio mødes lyddesigneren Helga Prip og radio- og podcastproducenten Susanna Sommer til en samtale om lyddesign i radiofiktion og podcasts. De spiller eksempler på, hvordan lyd og musik skaber handling, rum, stemninger og billeder på lytterens indre billedskærm, og på den måde gør lydfortællinger til en sanselig oplevelse, der påvirker hele kroppen.
Hør blandt andet hvordan man arbejder med lyd i radiofiktion, hvor man som udgangspunkt bare har skuespillernes tørre stemmer optaget i studiet. Men når man kombinerer dem med en håndfuld cikader, lyden af en bildør, lidt rumklang, skridt på grus og en knirkende port, der ruller til side, så bliver det pludselig til en dramatisk scene i en krimifortælling.
Helga Prip lavede i mange år lyddesign for Radio Drama i DR, og de seneste år har hun arbejdet med lyddesign til podcasts og lydbøger.
