Rundvisning: En kongegrav i Lejre?
Midt i Lejre Ådal rejser en lav gravhøj sig i landskabet. Ved dens fod står resterne af en næsten 90 meter lang skibssætning. Disse to fortidsminder gemmer på en vild historie.
Ny forskning peger på, at Grydehøj og mindst fire skibssætninger blev opført i 600-tallet som ét samlet gravmonument. Gravhøjen rummer spor efter et usædvanligt storslået begravelsesritual og regnes blandt de største brandbegravelser fra yngre jernalder i Danmark.
Men hvem blev begravet her?
På Lejre Museum mener vi, at dette kan være det tætteste, vi nogensinde er kommet på en virkelig Lejrekonge. I vinterferien kan du få en introduktion til vores nye spotudstilling.
Tid: onsdag d. 11. februar og onsdag d. 18. februar kl. 11.30–12.00.
Pris: Voksne: almindelig entré: 75 kr. (+ billetgebyr). Børn u. 18: gratis. Tilmelding er nødvendig.
