Den 17. februar kommer den multitalentfulde Maleek Berry på Rust til årets første internationale natkoncert.
Den nigerianske Maleek Berry startede sin musikalske karriere i 2010, hvor han efter en tur til hans hjemland Nigeria, producerede et af årets største nigerianske hits “Carolina”. Det affødte, at han i 2013 blev in-house producer på Wizkids verdenskendte label “Starboy Entertainment”, hvor han arbejdede med kunstnere som Wande Coal, Iyana, Runtown og Wizkid selv.
Efter en række solosingler udgav Berry, i 2016, sin debut EP “Last Daze of Summer”, på hans eget label “Berry’s Room”. Som opfølger til "Last Daze of Summer" EP har han udgivet tre singler, hvor især den ene single “kontrol” gik viralt.
Maleek Berry producerer romantisk og dansevenligt afro-pop, men har enkelte gange bevæget sig ud i trap-genren, og er ikke bange for at eksperimentere. Ligegyldigt hvilken genre han bevæger sig i, er Maleek Berry meget rytmeorienteret og melodisk i sit arbejde med sin musik, som går lige i hofterne på lytterne.
