Identitet, køn og religiøsitet er i den grad til forhandling i storbyens forvirrende virvar af indtryk, muligheder og udfordringer. Ikke mindst må Nour vælge mellem et religiøst betonet ægteskab eller egen personlig defineret frihed. Men trods deres forskelligheder udvikler kvinderne et stærkt venskab, som på forener dem i kraft af deres køn, fælles udfordringer, kamp for frihed og identitetsmæssige plads i tilværelsen.

Efterfølgende er der 30 minutters debat og samtale mellem festivalleder Anne Boukris og Jawhara Hammu, ung palæstinensk kvinde vokset op i Saudi Arabien med rødder i Haifa - om palæstinensiske kvinder og generationskonflikter. Hvor er det israelsk-palæstinensiske narrativ på vej hen?
