Ensemble Shahars koncert er begyndelsen på et usædvanligt og spændende eventyr, hvor Orientens prinsesse fortryller sine arvefjender med operasang. Hun fører børn og voksne gennem Mellemøstens mystik, jødiske sagn og ungarske røverhistorier med musik og fortællinger. På sin vej møder hun en arabisk oud-spiller, en klassisk tangentspiller og en jødisk klarinettist. Publikum inddrages i universet gennem klap, sang og dans, hvor musikken danner et fælles sprog, der bygger bro mellem musikalske genrer og kulturer.

Vi skruer op for vinterferien med dansevenlig reggae, pophits, børnerave, klassisk musik og jazzbaskere for børn i alle aldre til Amager Børnemusikfestival. Bag festivalen står Kvarterhuset, Ørestad Bibliotek, Børnekulturhus Ama’r, Bibliotekshuset, Kulturhuset Islands Brygge, Kulturpiloterne og Teater ZeBU
