Du laver din egen støbeform i silikone, som du efterfølgende bruger til at støbe emner i polyurethan-plast.
På kurset lærer du at lave kopier af allerede eksisterende produkter som legetøj, ting du har formet i ler, dele til møbler eller noget helt tredje. Det er også muligt at lave kopier af emner, som du har fræset på CNC-fræseren eller 3D-printet.
Der er mange forskellige typer polyurethan med forskellige egenskaber. Det er for eksempel muligt at lave både helt bløde gel-agtige støbninger og hårde støbninger. Polyurethanen kan indfarves ved at iblande primærfarver inden den støbes.
Silikonen hærder på 30 minutter og polyurethanen hærder på kun 15 minutter, så du kan meget hurtigt lave flere støbeforme og mange kopier af dit emne. Silikoneformene vi laver, kan også bruges til at støbe i andre materialer som for eksempel gips, beton eller chokolade til jul. Du får støbeformen med hjem, så du selv kan fortsætte støberiet.
Medbring et emne som du kan støbe. Hvis emnet er stort, skal der bruges meget silikone til formen, så tag et emne med, der ikke måler mere end 7-8 centimeter. Hvis du ikke har et emne som du vil støbe, kan du hjælpe en af de andre kursister.
Prisen for kurset inkluderer 250 gram silikone. Hvis du vil lave en form, der er større, så koster silikonen 200,- kroner per kg, som vi afregner, når formen er støbt.
