Fascinerende møde mellem folkemusik, kosmiske improvisationer og minimalisme fra den eksperimenterende slovenske trio Širom. En særpræget samling af hjemmebyggede og eksotiske instrumenter fremmaner dybt originale lydlandskaber, når Širom gæster København for første gang.
Slovenske Širom er et af Europas mest originale bands og en enestående live-oplevelse – hvad fortryllende koncerter på bl.a. Roskilde Festival og Fanø Free Folk Festival har bevist. Med en blanding af hjemmebyggede instrumenter og et kringlet arsenal af instrumenter indsamlet fra hele verden, skaber de tre multi-instrumentalister Ana Kravanja, Samo Kutin og Iztok Koren en genre, som de selv kalder for ‘imaginary folk’. Et lydbillede, der båder skaber associationer til slovensk folkemusik, fjernøstlig musik og afrikanske musikformer (for blot at nævne nogle af inspirationerne), men som samtidig er som et klangligt rumskib fra en anden verden.
Det er ikke usædvanligt at de enkelte numre udfolder sig fra et akustisk og roots-agtigt udtryk til at omfatte digressioner ind i Terry Riley-lignende minimalisme, indonesisk gamelan, kosmisk free jazz og hypnotisk krautrock. Og Širom er da også ét af den slags bands, som i lige grad begejstrer fans af traditionel folkemusik og avantgarde, samtidig med at musikken bevarer en dybt personlig grundtone.
Deres album fra 2017, “I Can Be A Clay Snapper” (Glitterbeat) gjorde for alvor Širom til et internationalt anerkendt navn. Glitterbeat udsender ligeledes bandets nye album, der fortsætter trioens tradition for gådefulde titler: “A Universe that Roasts Blossoms for a Horse”. Albummet udkommer 30. august, men har allerede fået begejstrede roser med på vejen fra førende internationale medier. F.eks. skrev det store engelske magasin Uncut: “A deep-breathing, ecstatic joy.” Ugen efter udgivelsen gæster Širom så ALICE med hvad der bliver bandets første koncert i København. En helt særlig oplevelse venter!

Handmade and global instrumentation meets fearless sound exploration, when Slovenian trio Širom invites the audience on a mystic sound journey. I have not received my Širom (SI) ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your Širom (SI) tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your Širom (SI) tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
