Skolekoncert med Aarhus Jazz Orchestra og eleverne fra 3.-5. klasse på Højvangskolen.
Kom og vær med, når swingende rytmer og brandvarme toner smelter sammen i en energifyldt koncert, som eleverne har øvet sig på i flere måneder! Hele Aarhus Jazz Orchestra akkompagnerer eleverne på skønne sange og fængende melodier på denne hyggelige aften!
Grundet stor interesse og begrænset kapacitet på lokationen, bedes I købe maks. 3 billetter pr husstand ind til d. 20/04, hvor salget åbnes op for ubegrænset køb. Dette gøres for at sikre, at alle familier får mulighed for at deltage.
Organiser
Aarhus Jazz Orchestra er et af landets førende, professionelle bigbands. Orkestret består af nogle af de bedste musikere på den danske jazzscene og har gennem tiden høstet flere priser og fantastiske anmeldelser for deres koncerter og udgivelser. Gennem årene har jazzorkestret arbejdet sammen med nogle af de største jazzikoner i vor tid, herunder Randy Brecker, Marilyn Mazur, Eliane Elias, Peter Erskine, Jamie Cullum, David Sanborn og Melody Gardot.
Orkestret har flere gange været nomineret ved Danish Music Awards Jazz. I 2016 vandt Aarhus Jazz Orchestra i kategorierne Årets Danske Jazzudgivelse og Årets Danske Jazzkomponist for Jakob Buchanans værk Requiem. I 2019 vandt orkestret JazzDanmark-prisen for projektet We, Robots - en pris, der hylder årets mest nyskabende koncertoplevelse, og i 2022 vandt orkesterchef Anders Ørbæk P8 Jazz Prisen - Årets Ildsjæl ved DMA Jazz.
