The Carlsberg area is a highlight of Danish industrial architecture and the impressive villa built by J. C. Jacobsen for his family in 1854, also belongs amongst Copenhagen's architectural treasures. Beautiful stucco ceilings, murals and columned conservatory, "Pompeii", exude style and atmosphere. The garden surrounding it has been restored completely in the spirit of the brewer. The villa was intended for J. C. Jacobsen's luxurious dinner parties, the gathering point for both the cultural elite of the time and also the businessmen. The villa is owned by the Carlsberg Foundation and is used for meetings in the field of scientific work. Part of the Golden Days Festival.
