Om eftermiddagen fredag den 25. marts i år modtog 112-alarmcentralen et opkald om røg fra taget på en ejendom på Grøndals Parkvej. 3 minutter efter ankom det første slukningskøretøj, som blev opstarten på en kæmpe indsats, der kom til at vare over de næste to døgn. Branden spredte sig desværre med eksplosiv hastighed i taget over hele ejendommens 15 opgange. På under 30 minutter stod hele tagkonstruktionen i flammer. Til trods for en kæmpe indsats fra brandvæsnet endte stort set hele ejendommen med at udbrænde og måtte efterfølgende rives ned. Tabet er historisk i sit omfang. Beboerne i mere end 90 lejligheder har ikke alene mistet deres bolig men også alle deres ejendele.
Men hvordan kunne det gå så galt? En brand skal ikke kunne sprede sig så hurtigt over så stor en bygning. Normalt vil de brandadskillende konstruktioner nedsætte hastigheden i brandudbredelsen, og give brandfolkene bedre mulighed for indsats og begrænsning af branden. Til foredraget vil du høre Hovedstadens Beredskabs egne indsatsledere fortælle om indsatsen og gennemgå konklusionerne i undersøgelsen af branden fra Bolig- og Planstyrelsen.
