Engang var det tradition. Nu er det historie.
Man spadserede da, med fruen ved armen og børnene artigt på rad og række efter sig, en tur på Volden Store Bededagsaften.
I århundreder omkransedes København af store forsvarsværker. Engang de mest moderne i Europa, men efterhånden overhalet af den militærtekniske udvikling. De blev forældede og til sidst måtte de væk.
Enkelte steder kan man dog stadig få et levende indtryk af Voldene og byen bag dem.
Vi tager hele arsenalet af gode anekdoter, legender og ammestue-historier med på denne aftenvandring.
