SUME – lyden af en revolution
Oplev historien om Grønlands legendariske rockband Sume, der satte ord på 1970’ernes længsel efter frihed. Mød også folkene bag filmen, der har været et internationalt festivalhit lige siden dens premiere.
Søndag 5. marts kl. 17 på Nordatlantiske Filmdage 2017
Vi er i 1970'ernes Grønland, hvor et ungt, politisk rockband pludselig sætter ord på grønlændernes længsel efter frihed og medbestemmelse, og snart er landet i gang med sit første store opgør med kolonimagten Danmark. Og med sin egen selvforståelse.
Gennem interviews med bandets medlemmer og forskellige arkivoptagelser skildrer dokumentarfilmen den fascinerende historie om det legendariske orkesters storhedstid. Og dermed giver den også et unikt indblik i de samfundsforhold, brydninger og omvæltninger, der kendetegnede 1970’ernes Grønland. Filmen er instrueret af Inuk Silis Høegh og produceret af Emile Hertling Péronard, der begge vil være til stede og drøfte filmen efter visningen.
Arrangementet
Sume – lyden af en revolution (2014) varer 76 minutter og vises med danske undertekster og efterfølgende samtale. Arrangementet varer ca. 100 minutter og filmcaféen åbner en time før visningen.
Billetter: 60 kr.
Nordatlantiske Filmdage 2017:
1.-8. marts præsenterer Nordatlantiske Filmdage spillefilm, dokumentarfilm og kortfilm fra Færøerne, Grønland og Island, tilsat oplæg, instruktørbesøg og debat. Det samlede program offentliggøres 1. februar på www.nordatlantens.dk
