”Sig du ka’ li mig”, Tøsedrengenes kæmpe hit, er uløseligt forbundet med Anne Dorte Michelsen og var startskuddet til en af Danmarks mest succesfulde popgrupper i 80’erne.
Vi føres gennem historien tilbage til barndom og ungdom i 70’ernes og 80’ernes Aarhus og København – og vender hjem til Vesterbro i 2020’erne, hvor Corona, MeToo og geopolitisk turbulens ryster verden. En tid, der også ændrer Anne Dorte Michelsens eget syn på sig selv og sætter gang i den livskrise, der fører til arbejdet med bogen.
Bogen er en både rørende, barsk og humoristisk fortælling om at være kvinde i en dynamisk og brutal musikbranche, om at blive ældre, om tab, vrede og ensomhed. Og om håb, nye begyndelser og ikke mindst om en livslang kærlighed til musikken og ordene.
