HUERCO S.
Den amerikanske producer Huerco S. har siden 2011 udgivet musik på blandt andet Proibito, Opal Tapes. Mens flere af hans tidligere EP’er kan kendetegnes ved en mere kluborienteret lyd, har han for alvor markeret sig i løbet af 2016 i en udforskning af ambientmusikkens muligheder. Det kom for alvor til udtryk på det anmelderroste album “For Those of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have)”, der blev efterfulgt af endnu et album samme år, båndudgivelsen QTT4 for Quiet Time Tapes. Med disse udgivelser har Huerco S. markeret sig som et af nyere tids mest interessante navne inden for ambientmusikken, med en kompositionel tilgang der er alt andet end søvndyssende på trods af de kendetegn, der ofte gør sig gældende på godt og ondt for genren. Med sin legerige tilgang til kompositioner på især “For Those of You (...)” og sin varme og tranceskabende lyd formår Huerco S. at formidle et musikalsk spektre, der i manges øjne har karakter af en nichégenre, på en enormt indbydende måde.
