Historien om The Blue Van er en hæsblæsende sag og The Blue Van været igennem mere, end langt de fleste danske bands når på en hel karriere.
De gik i børnehave sammen i nordjyske Brønderslev, begyndte at spille sammen som 12-årige, fik amerikansk pladekontrakt i 2003, udgav album i hele verden, spillede store koncerter i USA.
Men tre år senere krakkede pladeselskabet og rockdrømmen. De fire medlemmer af The Blue Van måtte flytte hjem på børneværelserne igen. Mandede sig op til et nyt album, fik hits og hul igennem til reklamer, film og tv-serie.
Lige nu er bandet igen gået sammen om at spille koncerter og indspille ny musik og bandet er på vej tilbage med deres 7. udgivelse, som vil være på gaden i 2020. Der er en rendyrket rockplade der er på vej, stadig med den umiskendelige The Blue Van lyd og med up-to-date produktion.
The Blue Van, som består af Steffen Westmark, Søren V. Christensen, Allan Villadsen og Per Jørgensen, har med de to forrige albums ”Man Up” fra (2008) og ”Love Shot” (2010) for alvor sat deres aftryk i den danske muldjord. Albummet ”Man Up” bød på bl.a. hitsinglerne ”Silly Boy” (P3’s Uundgåelige) og ”Man Up” efterfulgt af nummeret ”There Goes My Love”, som blev verdenskendt i den første ”iPad”- reklame i 2010.
Derefter fulgte albummet ”Love Shot” som også affødte flere single hits, så som ”Love Shot”, ”Fame And Glory”, og ”Run To The Sun” såvel som duetten ”Love Radar” med danske Nabiha. I kølvandet på dette er bandet også blevet honoreret med en BMI Award, nomineret til P3 Guld Pris i kategorien ”Årets Gennembrud”, Gaffa Prisen 2010 I kategorien ”Årets Danske Rock Udgivelse” mv. og har i dag mere end 30 synkroniserings-placeringer i bagagen. I 2012 udsendte bandet ”Would You Change Your Life?” og seneste udgivelse ”Letters” er fra 2015.
The Blue Van har uden tvivl, langsomt men sikkert, arbejdet sig til stor succes og anerkendelse. Dette skyldes også at bandet er et af Danmarks allerbedste live bands! Bandet har sagt ”Vi vil være hvor vores fans er og give dem hvad de bedst kan lide, og hvad de har brug for. Vi vil inspirere dem, ligesom de inspirerer os”.
I bund og grund sætter The Blue Van deres fans først. De er grunden til, at bandet overhovedet er nået hertil.
