Jór Saxofonkvartet har base i Aarhus og består af fire yderst talentfulde, klassisk uddannede saxofonister.
Alle fire er aktive solister og kammermusikere i flere sammenhænge og har spillet utallige koncerter i blandt andet Norge, Sverige, Finland, Letland, Italien, Spanien, Slovenien, Rusland, England, Frankrig, Kina, Japan og USA. Hver især har de vundet solist- og kammermusikkonkurrencer i ind- og udland.
Kvartettens repertoire består af en bred vifte af musik inden for den klassiske genre, fra standardværker og transskriptioner af blandt andre strygekvartetter til det helt nyskrevne og mere eksperimenterende kompositioner.
The House er en ny festival i Aarhus, der foregår i en gammel, rå værkstedsbygning, som tidligere var en smedje til byens gasværk. Her præsenteres en række musikere, som deltager på baggrund af deres musikalske idéer og bedrifter snarere end genre. En del af de opførte værker vil være komponerede, andre improviserede. Håbet er at kunne bidrage til at lade genrer og kunstarter inspirere hinanden.
